- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded cream cheese
- 1/2 cup beer (lager or ale)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)
- Pretzels or tortilla chips (for serving)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the cream cheese and beer. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and smooth.
- Gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until melted and well combined.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and Dijon mustard. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
- Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the dip is heated through.
- Remove from heat and transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
- Serve warm with pretzels or tortilla chips for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, consider adding a dash of hot sauce.
