- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and granulated sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, applesauce, and egg.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in the diced apples gently.
- Scoop the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, forming fritters.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While baking, mix powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze.
- Once fritters are done, drizzle the glaze over them while they are still warm.
Notes
- For a sweeter fritter, add more sugar to the batter.
- Feel free to add nuts or raisins for extra texture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
