Ingredients

Scale

For the Cheeseburger Pasta:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or leaner)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes (with juices)
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 8 oz pasta (elbow macaroni, rotini, or shells)
  • ½ cup heavy cream (or whole milk)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese (optional)

Optional Toppings:

  • Chopped pickles
  • Ketchup & mustard drizzle
  • Crumbled bacon
  • Fresh parsley or green onions

Instructions

  • Brown the Beef: In a large skillet or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  • Sauté the Aromatics: Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • Add Seasonings & Tomato Paste: Stir in salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato paste until well combined.
  • Pour in Tomatoes & Broth: Add diced tomatoes with juices and beef broth. Stir to combine.
  • Cook the Pasta: Stir in uncooked pasta, ensuring it’s submerged in the liquid. Cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add Cheese & Cream: Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella, and mix until melted and creamy.
  • Serve & Garnish: Let the pasta rest for 5 minutes, then top with pickles, bacon, or fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use Freshly Shredded Cheese: Pre-shredded cheese may not melt as smoothly.
  • Don’t Overcook Pasta: Simmer just until al dente for the best texture.
  • Adjust the Liquid: Add a splash of broth if the sauce thickens too much.
  • Make It Spicy: Add red pepper flakes or jalapeños for heat.
  • Reheat Properly: Add a little milk or broth when reheating to maintain creaminess
