For the Wraps:
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup shredded lettuce
- ¼ cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Beef Filling
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onions and cook until softened.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in taco seasoning, salt, black pepper, salsa, and water.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Step 2: Prepare the Wraps
- Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side.
- Sprinkle cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over each tortilla.
- Spoon the seasoned beef mixture onto the tortillas.
Step 3: Assemble and Fold
- Add sour cream, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, jalapeños, and fresh cilantro.
- Fold the tortillas tightly into a burrito-style wrap.
Step 4: Toast the Wraps (Optional for Extra Crispiness)
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the wrap seam-side down.
- Toast for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
- Slice the wraps in half and serve with lime wedges and extra salsa.
- Enjoy immediately while warm and melty.
