- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns, melted butter, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- If using, sprinkle crushed cornflakes evenly over the top for added crunch.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
