For the Dough:
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 ¼ cups warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
For the Garlic Butter Topping:
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Prepare the Dough:
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add sugar, oil, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until combined.
- Gradually add remaining flour, kneading until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.

Shape the Breadsticks:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll dough into a 9×13-inch rectangle.
- Use a pizza cutter to slice into 10-12 even strips.
- Place strips on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake the Breadsticks:
- Brush with melted butter before baking.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.
- While still warm, brush with additional melted butter and sprinkle with the garlic seasoning mix.
Notes
- Let the dough rise fully for soft and fluffy breadsticks.
- Don’t overbake to keep them soft inside.
- Brushing with butter after baking keeps them from drying out.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle with more Parmesan cheese before serving.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
