- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish, optional)
- Tortilla chips (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until the meat is cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk. Mix until the cheeses are melted and the dip is smooth.
- Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and let simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, add more chili powder or diced jalapeños.
- This dip can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
