Ingredients
- 4 medium russet potatoes: Known for their high starch content, russet potatoes ensure a crispy exterior and fluffy interior.
- 2 teaspoons olive oil: Adds richness and helps with browning.
- ¼ teaspoon salt: Enhances the natural potato flavor.
- Cracked pepper: Provides a subtle kick.
Optional additions include garlic powder, paprika, or rosemary for extra flavor.
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even cooking.
2. Prepare the potatoes: Peel the potatoes, wash them thoroughly, and pat them dry to remove excess moisture. Slice them thinly using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife.
3. Season the slices: Lay the potato slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and cracked pepper, and mix until evenly coated. Arrange them in a single layer to prevent overlapping.
4. Bake to perfection: Place the tray in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the slices turn golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through for even cooking.
5. Serve and enjoy: Once baked, let the slices cool for a minute or two before serving. Enjoy them plain or pair with your favorite dip
