Deep-Fried Oreo Cheesecake Bites – The Ultimate Dessert Indulgence

  • Author: isabil
  • Total Time: 40 minutes (plus 30 minutes freezing time)
  • Yield: 20 bites 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1012 Oreo cookies, crushed

For the Batter:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Frying:

  • Vegetable oil (for deep frying)
  • Extra crushed Oreos (for garnish, optional)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

For Serving:

  • Chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, or whipped cream

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cheesecake Filling

  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Fold in crushed Oreo cookies and mix well.
  3. Scoop small portions (about 1 teaspoon each) and roll into small balls.
  4. Place on a lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes until firm.

Step 2: Prepare the Batter

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a smooth batter forms.

Step 3: Heat the Oil

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Make sure the oil is hot enough to fry evenly but not too hot to burn the batter.

Step 4: Coat and Fry the Cheesecake Bites

  1. Dip each frozen cheesecake ball into the batter, ensuring full coverage.
  2. Carefully drop them into the hot oil, frying 3-4 at a time.
  3. Fry for 1-2 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  4. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  1. Dust with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.
  2. Sprinkle with extra crushed Oreos for added crunch.
  3. Serve warm with chocolate sauce, caramel, or whipped cream.

Notes

Freeze the cheesecake filling – Ensures they hold their shape while frying.
Use a thick batter – Helps create a crispy and golden coating.
Maintain oil temperature – Too hot, and the batter burns; too low, and they absorb too much oil.
Work in small batches – Avoid overcrowding the fryer for even cooking.
Serve immediately – These taste best fresh and warm.
