  • Author: isabil
  • Total Time: 30-35 minutes
  • Yield: 9 brownies 1x

Description

These Greek Yogurt Brownies are rich, fudgy, and healthier! No butter, no oil—just moist, chocolatey goodness in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Brownies:

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (or mashed banana)
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup oat flour or whole wheat flour (or all-purpose flour)
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, applesauce, coconut sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Add Dry Ingredients: Sift in cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda, stirring until well combined. Fold in oat flour until the batter is smooth.
  • Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in dark chocolate chips for extra indulgence.
  • Pour & Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool & Serve: Let the brownies cool completely before slicing. Enjoy them warm or chilled!

Notes

  • For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them and let them cool in the pan.
  • Use high-quality cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor.
  • Want more chewiness? Add an extra egg yolk.
  • For a keto-friendly version, swap oat flour with almond flour and use a sugar substitute.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for 3 months.
  • Reheat for 10-15 seconds in the microwave for a warm, gooey texture
