- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup orange food coloring
- 1/4 cup black food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Divide the brownie batter into two bowls. Add orange food coloring to one bowl and black food coloring to the other.
- Pour the orange batter into the prepared pan, followed by dollops of the black batter. Use a knife to swirl the two colors together.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture on top and swirl again gently.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- For a more intense color, add more food coloring as desired.
- These brownies can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Feel free to add Halloween-themed sprinkles on top before serving.
