This Hoisin Air Fryer Salmon is crispy outside, tender inside, and packed with bold umami flavors. A quick and easy meal in under 15 minutes!

For the Salmon:
- 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
For the Hoisin Glaze:
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp sriracha or chili flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
For Garnish:
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp chopped green onions
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Salmon
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
- Brush both sides with olive oil, then season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
Step 2: Make the Hoisin Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sriracha (if using), grated ginger, and minced garlic.
- Mix well until fully combined.
Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer
- Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat for 2-3 minutes.
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with olive oil spray to prevent sticking.
Step 4: Cook the Salmon
- Place the salmon skin-side down in the air fryer basket.
- Brush the fillets generously with the hoisin glaze.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 7-10 minutes, depending on thickness.
- Halfway through cooking, brush with more glaze for extra flavor.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
- Remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it rest for 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, chopped green onions, and red pepper flakes.
- Serve hot with steamed rice, stir-fried veggies, or a fresh salad.
