Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
Step 3: Make the Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits from the skillet.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce thickens.
- Add sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.
- Simmer for 3-5 minutes to blend flavors.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta, tossing gently to combine.
- Use reserved pasta water if needed to adjust sauce consistency.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
- Plate the pasta and chicken.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
