For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Creamy Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¾ cup sun-dried tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken or seafood broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil (chopped)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Additional salt and pepper to taste

For Garnishing:

  • Extra Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley or basil

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water and cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Sauté the Shrimp: Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • Prepare the Sauce: Melt butter in the skillet, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes, then add sun-dried tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Pour in heavy cream and broth, stirring well.
  • Add Cheese & Shrimp: Stir in Parmesan cheese and let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add shrimp back to the skillet.
  • Combine with Pasta: Toss in cooked pasta, stirring to coat evenly. Adjust sauce consistency with pasta water if needed.
  • Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with fresh basil, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Serve immediately.
