Instructions
- Cook the Bacon & Meat: In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside. In the same skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Make the Sauce: Add onion and garlic to the skillet, sauté for 2 minutes. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, sour cream, egg, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until smooth.
- Cook Lasagna Noodles: If using oven-ready noodles, skip this step. Otherwise, cook according to package instructions and drain.
- Assemble the Lasagna:
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer lasagna noodles on top.
- Spread half the cheese mixture over noodles.
- Sprinkle with crumbled bacon and cheddar cheese.
- Repeat layers, finishing with cheese and bacon on top.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes, until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Rest & Serve: Let the lasagna sit for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!
