Indulge in rich, creamy Peanut Butter Fudge Bars with a soft peanut butter base, luscious chocolate fudge, and a crumbly topping.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Peanut Butter Base:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Fudge Layer:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Crumbly Topping:

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  • Prepare the Peanut Butter Base – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan. Cream together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix in flour, baking powder, and salt. Press dough into the pan.
  • Make the Chocolate Fudge Layer – In a saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Spread evenly over the peanut butter base.
  • Prepare the Crumbly Topping – Mix peanut butter, brown sugar, flour, and melted butter until crumbs form. Sprinkle over the fudge layer.
  • Bake and Cool – Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the top is lightly golden. Cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • Use commercial peanut butter for better consistency.
  • Avoid overbaking; the bars will firm up as they cool.
  • Refrigerate before cutting for cleaner slices.
  • Try crunchy peanut butter for added texture.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
