  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup queso cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the sliced flank steak with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the seasoned steak to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice and queso cheese sauce, stirring until well mixed.
  4. Gently fold in the cooked steak and diced tomatoes into the rice mixture.
  5. Serve the steak and queso rice in bowls, garnished with chopped cilantro if desired. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top for added flavor.
