- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 3 large eggs
- ¾ cup brown sugar

Instructions
- Prepare the Ube Base:
- If using fresh ube, peel and boil it until tender, then mash or blend into a smooth puree.
- Combine ube puree, coconut milk, condensed milk, and sugar in a saucepan.
- Cook on low heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Add vanilla extract and let cool.
- Make the Malasa Layers:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Gradually mix in flour and alternate with evaporated milk to form a smooth batter.
- Assemble the Layers:
- Pour half the batter into the dish, spread evenly.
- Layer with the ube mixture, ensuring even coverage.
- Top with the remaining batter.
- Bake:
- Bake for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
