Instructions

  2. Add the diced onion, carrots, and celery. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Add the orzo pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once the orzo is cooked, reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream.
  7. Add the shredded chicken, lemon zest, and lemon juice, stirring to combine.
