Description

Make these irresistible Hawaiian Roll Breakfast Sliders with eggs, cheese, and bacon or sausage for the ultimate morning treat!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Sliders:

  • 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 rolls)
  • 8 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (or 6 breakfast sausage patties)
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese (or Swiss, American, or Pepper Jack)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

For the Glaze:

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare the eggs: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Scramble in a nonstick pan over medium heat until just set.
  • Cook the bacon or sausage: Cook until crispy, then drain excess grease and set aside.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them.
  • Assemble the sliders:
    • Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased baking dish.
    • Layer with cheese, scrambled eggs, and cooked bacon or sausage.
    • Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  • Make the glaze: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds.
  • Brush the glaze evenly over the sliders.
  • Bake covered with foil for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, let the rolls brown a little longer.
  • Use fresh Hawaiian rolls for the best texture.
  • Add a spicy kick with jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Make-ahead option: Assemble the night before and bake in the morning.
  • Swap the cheese for smoked gouda, mozzarella, or Swiss for variety.
