- 4 chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, pineapple juice, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, baste the chicken with fresh marinade during grilling.
- Serve with rice and grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
