Description
Make this easy Peach Cobbler Dump Cake with just a few ingredients! A buttery, golden dessert with juicy peaches and a crisp topping
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (15 oz each) sliced peaches in syrup (do not drain)
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional for extra depth of flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Add peaches with their syrup to the baking dish, spreading them evenly.
- Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar evenly over the peaches.
- Evenly distribute the dry cake mix over the peach layer—do not stir.
- Drizzle melted butter evenly over the entire cake mix.
- Optional: Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top for a crunchy texture.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- Use fresh peaches for a more natural flavor—just mix them with 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cornstarch before baking.
- Don’t stir the layers—keeping them separate results in a crisp topping and gooey center.
- For a crispier topping, broil the cake for 2 minutes at the end of baking.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the top before serving for a richer dessert.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for 3 months.
- Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 30-45 seconds for a fresh-out-of-the-oven taste
