  • Author: isabil
  • Total Time: 7 hours 15 minutes – 8 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 lbs baby potatoes, halved
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Seasonings & Spices:

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Garnishes:

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Cut the beef chuck roast into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Wash and halve the baby potatoes.
  3. Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.

2. Sear the Beef (Optional for Extra Flavor)

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef cubes and sear until browned on all sides (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and set aside.

3. Assemble the Slow Cooker

  1. Place the potatoes at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Add the onions and garlic on top.
  3. Arrange the beef bites over the vegetables.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Sprinkle the seasonings evenly over the ingredients.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over everything.

4. Slow Cook the Dish

  • Low Setting: Cook for 7-8 hours for the most tender beef.
  • High Setting: Cook for 4-5 hours if you’re short on time.

5. Add the Finishing Touches

  1. Stir gently to mix the flavors.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese.
  3. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use the Right Cut of Beef: Chuck roast works best as it becomes ultra-tender when slow-cooked.
  • Sear the Beef for Extra Flavor: While optional, browning the beef before slow cooking enhances the taste.
  • Don’t Overcrowd the Slow Cooker: Layer ingredients properly to ensure even cooking.
  • Add More Garlic for Extra Flavor: Garlic lovers can increase the amount to 6-8 cloves.
  • Let It Rest Before Serving: Letting the dish sit for 5-10 minutes allows flavors to meld.
  • Prep Time: 15minutes
  • Cook Time: 7-8 hours (low) or 4-5 hours (high)
